Step 1: Get A Live-in Job

This might seem like a massive jump, giving up your house and your current job. But if you want to travel the world, you have to do this anyway.

Getting a live-in job gives you the perks of living in an amazing location plus the fact you can save more money to travel even more.

You don’t have to be skilled to get a live-in job most of them are open to anyone willing to work, these jobs are normally for people who want to work in hospitality. You could work in a kitchen, bar or anything in between

Step 2: Shrink Your Belongings

You can live out of a backpack for life, it’s not just for the holidays. Downsizing before your trip will save you so much money and even make you money.

Sell your extra clothes, electronics and unnecessary items. Make some extra cash before your trip. Get down to the size of a backpack and live out it.

But don’t forget to downsize your Netflix, Amazon Prime and any other memberships. Might only be £10 a month each but that is 2 nights in a hostel in Asia.

Step 3: Travel Slow

Learn how to backpack, and forget about having a 2 week all-inclusive in Spain. Stretching your money as long as possible will keep you travelling as long as possible. Beaches are free, walking around a new city is free, and exploring something new, it’s free.

You will notice even the “Fancy” Tiktoks probably cut costs somewhere. They might show you their fancy dinner, but say in a hostel to save money.

Think ahead, and plan to go to cheaper places. Investing in an expensive flight could save you a lot of money on accommodation.
